Chocolate Pecan Sauce

A chocolate pecan sauce recipe made with chocolate chips, cream, butter, vanilla and ground pecans. Serve this chocolate sauce over homemade ice cream or your favorite dessert.

Smooth milk chocolate and finely ground pecans make a wonderful sweet and salty combo together in a dessert sauce. This chocolate recipe makes a delicious ice cream topping for those of you who are crazy about the great combination of chocolate and pecans!

Make sure you use fresh pecans in this recipe. The difference in taste is noticeable. However, if you don’t remember when the package was opened, it is probably time to let them go.

Tip: When you open a new package of walnuts or pecans take a marker and write the date on the package.

Tip:  To keep nuts fresh I place them in the freezer. They don’t freeze solid and it only takes a few minutes to thaw them enough to use in a recipe.
